Greetings Gentlemen and Ladies,
I'm pleased to announce the 7th Annual Hope worldwide Midwest Golf Classic! The event will be held again at the beautiful Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling Illinois on Monday, August 26th. I hope that the day will have gorgeous weather, low scores, a lot of laughs, great fellowship and that you all win some fantastic prizes at the raffle! However, my greatest hope is that we raise a bunch of money for those in need.
This year we will be changing our fundraising efforts from our beloved Skyline project to helping out our Medical missions in South America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Why, you might ask. Good question. First, Skyline needs some time to reestablish itself in the community it's serving and second, there exists sufficient funding for Skyline to operate for the next two or three years in its coffers. So in the meantime we have decided to help meet the needs of Hope worldwides excellent medical missions effort here in the Western hemisphere. When the time is right, we will return to raising funds for our kids in downtown Chicago.
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again this year as well as those you've informed about our golf outing. Please follow the prompts on the headliner.
Golfing for the good,
Matthew Fridley

HOPE worldwide mobilizes medical volunteers to bring health and wellness to communities in need. You can help support our Community Service Brigades!
HOPE worldwide seeks financial support to help purchase and deploy medical and dental supplies for eight medical brigades in 2024. You can help inspire hope in Central America and the Caribbean. For over thirty years, HOPE worldwide has come alongside materially poor communities to bring health, nutrition, disaster relief, and community development programs in over 50 countries. The Community Service Brigades (CSB) were officially started in 2010 and has conducted over seventy-five short-term, high-impact medical brigades in multiple countries throughout Central America and the Caribbean. The typical CSB is a three-day free clinic typically serving from 300-600 people and provides primary care, OB-GYN, internal medicine, dental and eye care, and when possible, mental health interventions.
Motivated by God’s love, we partner with our neighbors in need, equip volunteers, respond to disasters, and strengthen communities to inspire greater hope in our world.
Our mission and spiritual focus is to mobilize people and to help others in their times of need. Whether walking through the granite halls of the United Nations or alongside families in crisis, the compliments we hear are universal, “you have the best volunteers.” HOPE worldwide is known for having volunteers who serve and give with unmatched love and compassion. In the CSB realm, medical and dental health professionals provide their expertise along with love and compassion to provide free medical and dental care to people in impoverished communities. At the eight sites where services are provided, the treatment given may be the only access recipients have to primary medical care. The same individuals and families often return to the sites for follow-up and continual improvement. From the medical, dental, and other accompanying professionals’ perspective, the CSB trips are life-giving, providing perspective and gratitude. For this reason, many attendees return annually to provide services to patients in need, sharing testimonials with their colleagues at home. One doctor shared his experience, “I’m so in need of spiritual food, and this Brigade has helped me see how desperately hungry I am.”
In 2024, HOPEww will conduct eight medical brigades in Central America and the Caribbean. On the first trip in January to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, thirty-seven US volunteers served alongside one hundred and thirty Honduran volunteers for a three-day multi-site clinic service. Over six hundred patients were seen by a range of providers, including pediatrics, internal medicine, pain management specialists, urology, OB-GYN, Ear, Nose and Throat, Optometry, and Dental. Over 1,500 individual services were provided to patients. One thousand one hundred prescriptions were dispensed, along with supplies of vitamins for over six hundred individuals. These stats represent our typical impact across Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and beyond.
The Midwest Golf Classic Inspires Greater Hope…
We are honored to receive Golf Classic support for our CSB medical brigades. Your funds will help cover medicine and nutritional supplements, medical supplies, dental supplies, and shipping and logistics for these impacting pop-up clinics. In all, annually over 2,000 individuals will receive 3,500 unique services and 5,000 individual prescriptions. The people in these vulnerable communities will recover, feel better, be more able to thrive at work and school, and will have a brighter future because of your generosity!
All of us at HOPE worldwide look forward to building on our shared impact in 2024, bringing the gift of health to locations throughout Central America and the Caribbean to improve the outcomes of all patients receiving services. We are honored to have your thoughtful support and thank you for contributing to this cause.
